Refunds and Cancellation

Last updated 22 September 2026

This page explains when Option Decode charges you, what happens if you stop using it, and the narrow cases where money is returned. It applies to every paid plan on the pricing section, and forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. Try it free before you pay

Every new account gets 7 days of the Starter plan free, counted from the day it registers. No card is asked for and nothing is charged during the trial. The trial is the window in which to decide whether the analytics suit you: open the Dashboard, read the Strike Matrix and the Option Chain, and place simulated trades with the same data a paid account sees.

Accounts opened before 22 September 2026 keep the terms they signed up under: free until 1 October 2026, or until the end of their own 15-day trial if that is later.

After the trial, Starter is ₹299 per month, and the research tools come with the higher plans. You are never charged automatically at the end of the trial: a plan starts only when you ask for one. If you buy a plan while your free days are still running, it starts when they end, so you lose none of them; the higher plans' extra screens open on that date too.

2. Payments are not refundable

Once you have paid for a plan and it has started, that payment is final and is not refunded, in whole or in part. That includes:

  • a period you paid for but did not use, or used less than you expected;
  • the unused remainder of a period when you stop using the service, close your account or ask us to disable it;
  • dissatisfaction with the analytics, the signals, the levels or any reading the platform presents;
  • trading losses, missed trades or decisions taken with or without the platform;
  • data gaps caused by an exchange, your broker or our upstream market-data provider;
  • access lost because we end your account for a breach of the Terms.

The reason is the free trial above: you can evaluate the whole Starter feature set, on live delayed data, before any money changes hands.

3. Payments we do return

A payment that never bought anything is not a refund of a service, and those we return in full:

  • your money reached us but the plan was never switched on;
  • you were charged twice for the same period;
  • the amount taken is more than the plan price shown on the pricing section;
  • a payment you did not authorise, once established as such.

Write to support@optiondecode.com from the email address on the account, with the date, the amount and the payment reference. We aim to confirm within 3 working days and to return the money to its original source within 7 working days of that confirmation. Your bank or payment provider may take longer to show it.

4. How a plan starts and ends

You buy a plan from the Billing section of your Account page, for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, and pay in Indian rupees through our payment partner, Razorpay, by UPI, card, net banking or wallet. The plan starts as soon as the payment is confirmed - or, if your free days are still running, the day they end - and we email you the dates it covers. If a payment is taken but the plan does not start, that is one of the payments we return in full under section 3.

  • Paying again for the same plan extends it. The new months are added to the end of the period you already have, so paying early never costs you days.
  • Nothing renews by itself. A plan runs for the months paid for and then stops. There is no standing instruction on your card or UPI, and nothing to cancel to avoid a further charge.
  • Access runs to the end of the period. If you decide not to continue, you keep the plan until the period ends, and no part of it is refunded.

When a plan ends, your account stays: your settings, watchlists, alert thresholds and simulated trades are kept, and the free screens remain available under the trial rules above. Ask us to delete the account and we will, as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Changing plan

Buying a different plan starts it on the day you pay, for the months you pay for, and it replaces the plan you had. The days left on the previous plan are not carried over, added to the new one or refunded, so if you want to move to a cheaper plan it is usually better to wait until your current period ends. If you are unsure which to choose, write to us before you pay.

6. Prices and taxes

Prices are those shown on the pricing section at the time you pay, and they are the whole price: no tax is added at checkout, and no GST is charged, as we are not registered for GST at this time. If that changes, prices and invoices will say so. A price change never affects a period you have already paid for.

7. Before you raise a dispute

If you believe a charge is wrong, please write to us first: we can see the payment and the account, and most questions are settled the same day. Raising a chargeback with your bank before contacting us usually takes longer and may leave the account suspended while the bank decides.
