Terms of Service
Last updated 22 September 2026
These terms govern your use of Option Decode, an analytics platform operated by Option Decode Academy ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Who may use it
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. One account belongs to one person: do not share your login, and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has used it.
2. What Option Decode is, and what it is not
Option Decode is an analytics and education tool. It reads market data and presents it: open interest, price pressure, support and resistance readings, wave counts, screeners and simulated trading.
Nothing in the service is investment advice, a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, or an offer to deal in securities. We are not a stockbroker, and we are not registered with SEBI as an investment adviser or as a research analyst. Nothing the platform shows - including any recommendation, signal, level or screener result - is a research report or personalised advice, and none of it takes account of your objectives, means or risk appetite.
Every trading decision you make is your own. Trading in derivatives carries a high risk of loss, and per a SEBI study, 9 out of 10 individual traders in equity futures and options incurred net losses. Past performance, backtests and simulated results do not predict future outcomes.
3. Market data
Market data comes from third parties, including your broker. It may be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and feeds can fail. We do not warrant that any figure shown is accurate or current, and you should verify anything you intend to act on against your broker or the exchange. Data shown to visitors who are not signed in is delayed.
4. Connecting a broker, and orders
You may connect your own broker account. If you do:
- Orders are placed only when you instruct them, through your own broker account, and they are your orders.
- You are responsible for every trade, its margin, its outcome and any loss it produces.
- We do not hold your funds or securities, we do not trade on your behalf, and we do not exercise discretion over your account.
- Automated exit rules, stops and alerts are conveniences that depend on live data and third-party systems. They can fail, be delayed or not fire at all, and you must not rely on them as your only protection.
Simulated trading is a model. Fills, prices and margins in it will differ from a real market.
5. Plans, payment and refunds
Some features are free and others require a paid plan. Prices are shown on our pricing section and are inclusive: no tax is added at checkout, and no GST is charged, as we are not registered for GST at this time. If that changes, prices and invoices will say so.
Payments are taken in Indian rupees through our payment partner, Razorpay, by UPI, card, net banking or wallet. Your payment is processed by Razorpay under its own terms; we never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. A plan starts when the payment is confirmed, or when your free days end if they are still running, and we email you the period it covers. That email is a confirmation, not a tax invoice.
A paid plan runs for the period you pay for and does not renew automatically unless you are told otherwise at the time of purchase. Our refund and cancellation terms are set out in our Refunds and Cancellation policy: in short, the first 7 days are free and a payment, once a plan has started, is not refundable.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- scrape, bulk-download, resell or redistribute data or analytics from the service;
- share, resell or sublicense your access;
- reverse engineer the service, or attempt to gain access to systems or accounts that are not yours;
- place load on the service beyond normal individual use, or interfere with its operation;
- use the service for anything unlawful, or in breach of your broker or exchange obligations.
We may limit, suspend or end access that breaches these terms, or that threatens the stability or security of the service.
7. Your content and our rights
The service, its software, interface and analytics are ours and remain ours. Settings, watchlists and trade records that you create remain yours, and you grant us the permission needed to store and process them so the service can work.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the service available, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. It may be unavailable for maintenance, for reasons outside our control, or because an upstream provider has failed. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, lost opportunity or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including from data that was wrong, delayed or unavailable, or from an alert or automated rule that did not fire. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud.
10. Suspension and closure
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is used unlawfully, or where we are required to do so. If we close your account without cause and you have paid for a period not yet used, we will refund the unused part.
11. Changes
We may change these terms as the service changes. The date at the top shows when they were last revised, and material changes will be notified by email or in the application. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Ghaziabad have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
